The first comprehensive evaluation of merozoite antigens as targets of human immunity, including 96 antigens, which examined responses in detail in a longitudinal cohort of over 200 children. The study identified several antigens as strong targets of protective immunity that underpins a rational approach to vaccine development and biomarker development.
