Creation of malaria seasonality for sub-Saharan Africa with Dr Francesca Sanna
Malaria is a significant global health burden, remaining one of the major causes of child mortality in sub-Saharan Africa. In many countries, malaria transmission is seasonally heterogeneous.
This study utilises time-series data and anecdotal information to create a novel malaria seasonality database that includes current and historical data across sub-Saharan Africa. The database will help to characterize the seasonal patterns of malaria transmission across Sub-Saharan Africa and will provide a valuable resource for future research endeavours.
