NHMRC grant success for ACREME researchers

Congratulations to those ACREME researchers who were successful in the latest round of incredibly competitive NHMRC funding, which was announced on Saturday 07 December.

 

Dr Kamala Thriemer (Menzies School of Health Research) was awarded a Clinical Trials and Cohort Studies Grant to determine the “Effectiveness of novel approaches to radical cure of vivax malaria”.

 

 

 

 

Dr Michelle Boyle (QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute) was awarded an Ideas Grant for her project “Manipulating T follicular helper cells to improve human malaria vaccines”

 

 

 

Dr Matthew Grigg (Menzies School of Health Research) was awarded an Ideas Grant to study “Parasite and human genetic risk factors for emerging Plasmodium knowlesi (Pk) malaria”.

 

 

 

Dr Herbert Opi (Burnet Institute) was awarded an Ideas Grant for his project “Enhanced identification of targets of immunity to advance P. vivax vaccine development.”
