Jeyamalar is a PhD student at the University of Melbourne’s Centre for Epidemiology and Biostatistics. Her initial research aim is to determine the best parasite clearance estimation method for zoonotic malaria, Plasmodium knowlesi. Her research will then utilise methods from mathematical biology and biostatistics to study the impact of malaria immunity and erythrocyte polymorphisms on parasite clearance. She is under the supervision of Prof. Julie A Simpson, Dr Saber Dini and Assoc. Prof. Matthew Grigg.
