Moses Laman

Profile

Moses Laman is a Principle Research Fellow and the current Head of the Vector Borne Diseases Unit at the Papua New Guinea Institute of Medical Research. He is a Young Affiliate of the Third World Academy of Science, a general paediatrician and an adjunct senior research fellow at the School of Medicine and Pharmacology, University of Western Australia. Over the past 12 years, he has led multiple field-based and health facility-based studies of malaria and other diseases of public health importance in developing countries. Moses collaborates widely with many international research groups and his in-depth understanding of the Melanesian culture, values, perspectives and relationships continue to be instrumental to the success of these studies.

Within ACREME, Moses is an Associate Investigator who will be involved in the establishment of the project in Papua New Guinea.
