Tinashe Chabikwa

Profile

Tinashe Chabikwa is a postdoctoral researcher in Dr. Michelle Boyle’s group at the QIMR Berghofer Medical Research Institute in Brisbane. Tinashe Chabikwa main role is performing computational analysis of next-generation sequencing (NGS) datasets generated in the various research projects associated with studying human immune responses to malaria infection. Tinashe Chabikwa is currently working on assessing the effect of age on innate and adaptive immunity to malaria (Plasmodium falciparum) employing single-cell transcriptomics (sc-RNASeq). This includes evaluating the expansion and transcriptional profiles of innate and adaptive immune cell subsets including monocytes, T cells, NK cells and B cells, from clinical blood samples from infected adults and children
