Dr Zaw Lin is Deputy Director of the Myanmar Vector Borne Diseases Control Program, Department of Public Health, co-chair of the Myanmar Malaria Technical Strategic Group and a member of the Myanmar Artemisinin Resistance Initiative in Myanmar. He is a member of the steering committee of the Myanmar Malaria Indicator Survey to enable prioritisation of services and to inform strategic planning. He performs operational researches investigating implementation of malaria control and elimination strategies, funded by the Global Fund and the Three Millennium Development Goal Fund. Within ACREME Zaw Lin will collaborate with Drs Fowkes, Beeson and Simpson to develop and implement community-based malaria treatment and surveillance strategies for Myanmar, and will ensure that ACREME outcomes will be translated into relevant malaria control and elimination policies through links with National Malaria Control Programs, APMEN and APLMA.
