Operational research on access and coverage of malaria interventions

Project Description

Maximizing the coverage of malaria control interventions and prompt diagnosis and treatment of malaria are crucial for achieving malaria elimination. ACREME members are evaluating health care services in malaria-endemic regions and how people access and use these services, as well as the coverage of malaria treatment and preventive interventions. We aim to identify barriers and facilitators of access to malaria treatment and prevention, and gaps in coverage, and identify approaches to maximize coverage of key interventions, including access to malaria RDTs, effective treatment with ACTs, coverage and use of insecticide treated bed nets, and intermittent preventive treatment for malaria in pregnancy.
